Guest FAQ
Quick answers to the questions guests ask most often when getting started with Teralo.
How was I invited to Teralo?
A host added you to one of their projects. When they did, Teralo sent you an email invitation. Click the link in that email to create an account, or sign in if you already have one, and you will land on the project dashboard. If you cannot find the email, check your spam or junk folder, or ask the person who invited you to resend it.
What can I do as a guest?
It depends on the permission template the host assigns you, such as "Subcontractor" or "Design Consultant". In general, guests lodge and submit items — like permits, method statements, safety data sheets, site diary entries and progress claims — and take part in reviews. The host then reviews and approves what you submit.
Why can't I see a particular tool or feature?
If a tool is missing from your sidebar, it is not included in your permission template. First, check that you are on the correct project. If it is still missing, ask the host to adjust your access — they control what each guest can see and do.
Can I belong to more than one organisation or project?
Yes. You can be part of multiple organisations and projects, all under the same account. Switch between them from the sidebar at any time.
Do I have to pay to use Teralo as a guest?
No. Guests are invited by a host, and the host manages billing for the project. There is nothing for you to pay or subscribe to.
What is the difference between a guest and a host?
A host owns and creates projects, configures tools and approves submissions. A guest is an external participant — such as a subcontractor or design consultant — who is invited onto a host's project to participate and submit items for the host to review.
Can I approve permits, claims or other items?
No. As a guest you lodge items and track their progress through the review process. The host is the one who approves them.
How do my workers get onto site?
Through inductions and site sign-in. Workers complete the required inductions for the project, then sign in when they arrive on site and sign out when they leave. See Inductions and Sign-in & Sign-out for the details.
Is there a mobile or desktop app?
Yes. Teralo runs in a web browser, as a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux, and as a mobile app for iOS and Android. The same account works everywhere and your data stays in sync.
How do I change my notifications?
Open your account settings and go to your preferences, where you can turn email and in-app notifications on or off per module and event. See Notifications & Account Settings for a full walkthrough.
