Contracts

View the contracts on which your organisation is the counterparty, and work with them directly. This guide explains what you can see and do as a guest on the Contracts area.

Viewing Your Contracts

If you have been granted the contracts view permission, you can see the contracts where your organisation is the counterparty. Access is party-scoped, so you see your own contracts rather than every contract on the project.

To find a contract:

  1. Open the Contracts area for the project.
  2. Locate the contract your organisation is party to.
  3. Click to open it and view the full details.

What's in a Contract

Open a contract to review everything that has been agreed and recorded against it:

  • Details: the contract summary and key information.
  • Status: where the contract currently sits.
  • Schedule of values: the priced line items that make up the contract sum.
  • History: a record of activity and changes over time.

The schedule of values is the basis for your progress claims, so it is worth getting familiar with how your line items are described and priced.

What You Can Do From a Contract

From your contract you can take part in the two main commercial workflows:

  • Submit progress claims against the agreed schedule of values.
  • Submit variations for additional or changed scope.

Each of these has its own guide with step-by-step instructions — see Progress Claims & Variations.

What Guests Cannot Do

Some parts of the Contracts area are reserved for the host and are not shown to guests:

  • Creating or editing contracts.
  • Approving progress claims and variations.
  • The Payments tab.
  • The wider Procurement area.

You submit your claims and variations, and the host reviews and approves them. If you need access to a contract you cannot see, contact your project host.
