The schedule, and booking the crane you need to hit it.
Two kinds of programme
Both live in the same register. An advanced programme is a full critical-path Gantt: dependencies with lag, shared calendars, baselines, resources per task, and an import from Microsoft Project if your schedule already exists there. Toggle the critical path and the driving chain lights up.
The look-ahead
The other kind is a four-week look-ahead, the coordination-meeting sketchpad. Rows are grouped into sections, each task carries a responsible organisation, and each day is a cell you paint by clicking or dragging. There are no dependencies and nothing to save: it autosaves, and it prints to a clean landscape sheet with a colour legend for the meeting.
Bookings
Bookings is the shared resource diary: the crane, the hoist, the laydown area, the loading dock. Someone requests a slot, the board shows the day filling up, and clashes are visible before they happen on site rather than after.
Approving a request
A booking request can run through an approval workflow like anything else, so the person who owns the crane decides who gets it. Approved bookings appear on the board for everyone, which is the whole point: one diary rather than a WhatsApp thread.
Cashflow
Worth knowing about even in an introduction: the Cashflow tab reads the advanced programme and your contracts together, spreading each schedule of values item across its task's dates. Move a task and the money moves with it.
