The companies and people on a project, and how they get added. Everything else in Teralo draws on the Directory: mail recipients, workflow approvers, inspection assignees, meeting attendees.
People
The People tab lists everyone on the project from every organisation, with their role and their company. A toggle brings in inducted workers alongside account holders, so one list can be the full picture of who is involved in the job rather than just who has a login.
Adding someone
Two routes. If they already have a Teralo account, perhaps from another of your projects, the global directory finds them and you add them straight in. If they are new, Create Account checks the email address first so you never create a duplicate, and if their company is not on the project yet, a short wizard creates the organisation as part of the same flow. Either way you choose a permission template as you add them.
Organisations follow their people
You never add a company to a project directly. A company appears on the Organisations tab because its people are project members, which keeps the list honest: an organisation with nobody on the job is not on the job.
Distribution groups
A distribution group is a named list of project people: Design Consultants, Site Team, Safety Committee. Mail addresses them as one recipient, Site Messages delivers to them, and meeting distribution draws on the same lists. Maintaining them is the cheapest dispute prevention available: "who should have been copied" stops being a question.
