The mobile app

The Teralo mobile app runs Teralo on an iPhone, iPad or Android device, with the same account and data as Teralo in a browser. On a phone, a bar along the bottom of the screen takes the place of the sidebar, and some tools keep working with no signal.

Download Teralo from the App Store or Google Play. Both are also linked from teralo.co/downloads.

The app needs iOS 16 or later, or Android 8.0 or later. When a new version is required, the app shows Update required. Select Update now to update it from the store.

1. Open the app.
2. Enter your Email and Password, then select Log in. Or select Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft or Continue with Apple.
3. If you use two-factor authentication, enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app, then select Verify.

The app keeps you signed in while you use it. Signing out on any other device, or changing your password, signs the app out too. Learn more about security and two-factor authentication.

The bar along the bottom of the screen has icon buttons with no labels:

• Home, on the left: opens Project Home in a project, or your organisation's home page.
• Up to three tools of your choice, either side of Search.
• Search: searches across Teralo.
• More, on the right: opens the tools sheet, with every tool you can open.

Project Home takes the place of the project dashboard on a phone. It shows My Items, the latest site message, and a tile for each of the project's tools. Your organisation's home page lists your projects.

To open the user menu, select More, then your name at the bottom of the sheet. It holds Help, Account, Settings and Log out.

On a tablet, the app shows the sidebar, as Teralo does in a browser.

The bar starts with Mail and AI Chat in a project, and Directory at organisation level. To change it:

1. Select More, then Edit tray at the bottom of the sheet. You can also press and hold any button on the bar.
2. Select up to 3 tools, in the order you want them. The number on each row is its place on the bar.
3. Select Save.

Reset to defaults puts back the starting tools.

The bar offers only tools you can open in that project. My Items, Locations, Reports and the settings pages can't be added. Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to other devices. One bar applies in every project, and another at organisation level.

1. Select More, then Switch. You can also select the project name at the top of Project Home.
2. Select a project.
   • Projects run by other organisations are under Projects you're invited to.
   • To change organisation, find it under Your other organisations and select Switch.

With more than 6 projects, a search box and a Recent row appear at the top of the list.

In the app, Take Photo opens your phone's camera, and Add Photo picks from your photo library. The first time, your phone asks for permission to use each.

You can take photos for:

• inspection items;
• observations;
• equipment records;
• induction registrations;
• project photos;
• Passive Fire installations.

Teralo stamps the date and time on the bottom left of each photo, and stores it at up to 2,048 pixels on its longest side. Photos taken in the app are not saved to your phone's gallery.

The mobile app keeps some work going with no connection: pinned documents open, inspections in progress can be filled in, and observations, Passive Fire installations and photos can be recorded. Teralo saves each change on the phone and sends it when the connection returns.

• The report builder needs a screen at least 1,024 pixels wide. On a narrower screen it shows Larger screen required. Reports themselves open on a phone.
• On a phone, Project Home takes the place of dashboards. On a tablet, the app shows dashboards, but you can't rearrange them.
• DWG drawings do not open in the app, which shows Open on desktop.
• Word, Excel and PowerPoint files cannot be opened in Microsoft 365 for the web from the app.
• The workflow builder needs a screen at least 768 pixels wide.
• IFC models open in the app, but the viewer's AI chat and models panel do not.

The app sends no push notifications. Teralo notifies you by email, and site messages can also reach you by text message. What is waiting on you is listed in My Items. Learn more about notification settings.

Workers sign in and out at a site without the app or a Teralo account. The kiosk runs in a browser on a tablet at the gate, and shows a QR code that a worker scans with their own phone's camera.
