Delete Your Teralo Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Teralo account and associated data, as required for apps distributed on Google Play.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can request account deletion through any of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Teralo app and sign in to your account
  2. Navigate to Settings > Account
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm your request when prompted
  5. Your account will be scheduled for deletion

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to support@teralo.co with:

  • Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  • The email address associated with your Teralo account
  • Your full name as it appears on your account

We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.

Option 3: Web Portal

If available, sign in to your account at app.teralo.co and navigate to Account Settings > Delete Account.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your user profile and account credentials
  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Profile photos and uploaded media
  • App preferences and settings
  • Push notification tokens and device associations
  • Activity logs and usage history

Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be retained for limited periods due to legal, regulatory, or legitimate business requirements:

Transaction records Up to 7 years Tax and accounting compliance
Communications (support tickets) Up to 2 years Legal compliance and dispute resolution
Anonymized analytics Indefinitely Aggregated, non-identifiable data for service improvement
Legal hold data As required Ongoing legal proceedings or investigations

Data Shared with Organizations

If you were invited to projects by a construction company or organization using Teralo:

  • Project data you contributed (comments, updates, files) may be retained by the organization as part of their project records
  • The organization controls this data and you should contact them directly for removal requests
  • Your personal account will still be deleted, but contributed content may remain associated with the project

Processing Timeline

  • Immediate: Account access is disabled
  • Within 30 days: Personal data deletion begins
  • Within 90 days: Complete deletion from active systems
  • Backup retention: Backups are purged on their regular rotation schedule (up to 90 additional days)

Before You Delete

Consider the following before requesting account deletion:

  • Download any data you wish to keep using the export feature in Settings
  • You will lose access to all projects you've been invited to
  • This action cannot be undone
  • If you only want to stop notifications, you can disable them in Settings instead
